Let’s start from the beginning, a man was arrested for a crime of spying and send to the jail for 13 years. In between these years, the toughest was a year and Half. During this tenure the person was kept in a small cabin, size might be 6*4 ft. Feeling the pain from hunger, cold, blackness, by being not able to do anything.
Even standing in the cabin was difficult. In this condition first of all, you have to explain yourself why you are there, why you have to live this life. But secondly, you also have to know how to use your brains which can keep you alive.
Can anyone survive in these circumstances ?
Yes! One person did it and this is the story of Mr. Natan Sharansky, who was born in Soviet on 20th January 1948.
When someone asked him what’s the reason for his survival in that critical condition.
He Said, I loved playing chess blind simultaneously with some partners, but it was only for sport. When I was kept in prison, I decided to play the chess again. I was playing hundreds and thousands of games in my head. I won all of them, I felt myself getting very strong intellectually, so while they were expecting that {with the passage of time}, they were destroying me- in fact, I succeeded in strengthening myself.
What!! Playing chess in head? Without chessboard ? Without opponent player? How its possible?
It’s possible with imagination. Which Natan used during his prison days, and helped him to win a match later with the World Chess Champion Gary Kasparov.
When the reporter asked him how he wins with the world chess champion in the first round.
He said, I was playing chess with him in my head more than thousands time, which resulted win in this game.
That’s the power of Imagination.
Let’s us know more about it. Imagination is the ability to form a mental pictures or ideas in mind. Everybody have the ability to imagine, but its more powerful when you keep practicing Imagination. Once Albert Einstein said,
Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, simulating, giving birth to evolution.
Every product/creation first begins in mind, then it comes to physical.
Mobile was first in Imagination, then it became reality.
Aeroplane was first in imagination, then it became reality.
Laptop or Computers were first in imagination, then it became reality.
The best part of imagination is you can image everything and anything. Let’s assume a car with red color. Even you can select the model, design, engine, seating arrangements and yourself on the driving seat.
We can use imagination to build business, for some inventions, or for another causes. It totally depends upon us what we are going to do with this energy.
What we dream, is what we get.
