There are only 24 hours in a day & when we convert it into more fractions it will be 86,400 seconds in 24 hours. So utilizing this time frame to become highly productive is important.

We can’t increase the given time frame to complete the tasks…. so being productive is the only option is left for many of us. Being productive is not any rocket science, its just a way how how we utilise our 86,400 seconds & managing the best option.

This blog will focus on the 7 Habits that will make your life a productive one.

Focus

1. Focus On Work, Not Results

One of the biggest challenges for anyone is to figure out how to stay focused when hundred other things are happing around us. There are multiple factors that can cause loss of focus and can impact your productivity and efficiency.

Productivity is about how much you create and deliver; not just finishing busy work. Don’t over focus on minor details like having the perfect calendar. Measure your results and work will improve.

2. Checking Devices In Morning

Your phone could be your biggest enemy during the morning hours. Constant beeps, WhatsApp messages, Facebook notification could distract you and result in wasting your precious time.

You should avoid checking your phone, emails and social media first thing in the morning, which puts you in “reaction” mode. Instead, take a step towards your goal before touching them. Plan your day in the morning hours which will help you to increase your productivity.

Multi tasking

3. Don’t Be Multitasking

Multitasking and switching tasks ruin your productivity. Instead, minimise distractions while you work and remove clutter from your workspace.

As per various research constantly switching between numerous tasks reduces our chances to complete any one of them in due time. Instead of saving time, it ends up doing the exact opposite of it.

Boundary

4. Set Boundaries

Don’t work until you are exhausted; you will burn out and had nothing left for the next day. Instead, stop when you feel your productivity decline and take breaks throughout your day to conserve energy. It is often very difficult to effectively manage your time without a proper time frame and clear objectives. So before setting boundaries ask your self, ‘ What will be the input and outcome for the step will look like’.

5. Set Priorities

Advertise your task based on importance not just urgency so you can maximize results you get from each workday. On a daily level, organize your schedule according to the importance of each activity. Use Stars, arrows, or a numbered list, or devise your own system. Of course, it’s tempting to leave the most painful task for last, but think how pleased and relieved you’ll be when it’s complete.

6. Time Management

Don’t find time for the things that are important to you; make time. Set it your calendar and build your schedule around it.

Say No

7. Say NO

Avoid saying “yes” to every request and overwhelming yourself with unimportant things. Set boundaries on your time and learn how to say “no” politely so you can say “yes” to what really matters.
